How high can a rabbit hop?

rabbit fencing

I have fencing all around my garden and can’t find a hole where this one rabbit – maybe more than one – keeps getting in and eating up the lettuce plants. One section was one foot high. The rest is two to four feet high. It’s a collection of fencing. Can a rabbit hop higher than one foot?

I read they can easily hop 18 inches and they can also burrow under a fence.

I’m with "pc" on this one, a cotton tail about 18′, a jack rabbit 3 ft., but if you shoot one they can double or triple that height. I think yours is using a hole in the fence. RScott
