Rabbit box trap

Here are a few pictures of my version of the box trap. great for rabbits and other small pest. It uses a counterweight (door) trigger system that is pretty self explanatory from looking at the pix. any questions let me know.

Instant rabbit brain kills and a grain stealing woodie

rabbit pest

I am trying to get the shot placement to the lower part of the rabbits brain area. Where the collection centre is to the spinal column. If I can get these shots which I know the rifle is capable of then the rabbits will just fall with minimal twitching – Not even a jump. My shooting is now aimed at this point – a very small target area but with the flat tragectory of the .177 even with the smaller cross section, when it strikes this vital area the bunny is down cleanly. I know that I have a tendancy to pull the rifle stock left on shooting so the barrel and scope goes right, this is an issue I will try to correct with my hold and the trigger adjustment. I will never stop trying to improve on my shot placement and ability. All rabbits and the pigeon processed for eating!!
